Bureacuracy in Spain - Administrative services - Windram Miller and Company

¡Help! is a division of Windram Miller & Company. The division's objective is to provide a simple and relatively cheap administration service to clients who need an organisation to deal on their behalf with the Spanish authorities, but who do not, in principle, need more expensive professional advice. In short, it is a service for clients who pretty much know what they need, but want someone to do it for them.

Albeit supervised by professional staff, the services of ¡Help! are provided by our senior administrative staff, which fact enables us to keep down the cost to the client.

Those who are familiar with Spain will recognise the rôle performed by that uniquely Iberian/South American profession, the Gestor Administrativo, the need for which arises from the complex, all-pervasive, ever-changing, and altogether confusing and frustrating bureaucratic systems in those countries. ¡Help! is designed to provide a quasi-gestoría service of limited and targeted scope designed specifically with the foreigner (resident or not) in mind.

Examples of administrative services in Spain provided by ¡Help!

• Obtaining Fiscal Identity Numbers (NIE for individuals, CIF for entities). Required by law for all those, whether resident or not, who have "… economic interests in Spanish territory"
• Registration on the Central Register of Foreigners (for citizens of the EU who wish to take up residence in Spain) according to the provisions of Royal Decree 240/2007 of 16th February 2007 which came into effect on 2nd April 2007.  More information...
• Residence Permits (and the associated Work Permit where appropriate) for non EU citizens wishing to establish in Spain
• Utilities contracts (water, electricity, telephone etc)
• Dealing with suppliers (whether of utilities or other services)
• Dealing with Communities of Owners, and with Administrations of Urbanisations and similar organisations
• Business opening licences
• Dealing with town hall (Ayuntamiento) and payment of rates/local taxes
• Dealing with other institutions and organisations where appropriate
